Its not perfect, but it is a functioning multi angle Spin-slash sprite.
The animation has been slowed down a bit for the video. (Also spine Colors may change in the future) Sorry the video is a bit on the choppy side

Whoa, that's really awesome. I love the reflections. You did an awesome job on this. Though, what could the SpinSlash be used for? Sticking to walls like the Spikes wisp from Colors? Do any magazines or sources give out any info on what it was to be used for?

Axsx's spin-slash will be used to break obstacles and enemies that are indestructible by normal attacks.

You'll probably add a limit to prevent abusif used of this attack, right? Or, in fact, how can we actually trigger this move? Do we need to pick up an item?

Looks good. Do you have the animation for startup/cooldown spin slash done?

On that note, will the startup/cooldown animations count towards the hitbox and other stats of the spin slash, use default hitbox/stats, or have their own? I, personally, would like the third option if possible and the second option if not. It would definitely add to the skill needed if the startup animation didn't come with the benefits of the attack, meaning timing was a more crucial thing for it.

Also, with the startup/cooldown animation be affected by physics or will they suspend Sonic mid-air?

Yes the start up and ending animation is done  , I just didn't render out any sprites for it yet as i'm not sure if im going to keep the reflection colors.
The spinslash is only doable when sonic is running max speed or while spin dashing once more during a standard spindash, Sonic can also jump while in spinslach mode off the ground.
...so spindash, spinslash, jump combo.

There may be another way to spinslash by pressing jump when sonic is descending after a standard jump. he would be protected for a moment kind of like sonic 3's double tap jump move .
(and yeah start up and down wont allow the spin-slash damage)

I'm also thinking that spinslash combos will cost rings each time they are used as a penalty.( rings will shake out of sonic which can also be re-collected )
Although I'm not sure on this yet.. trying to think of a creative way to stop players from abusing the move.

Actually it's specifically stated somewhere that this would cost rings. I need to dig up the article but just food for thought.
