Topic: Unknown Level

Ok guys have some more level assets ready.
Had to do 3 textures from scratch to try and match the magazine's,
Since these were never released.

It's kinda close but not spot on, especially had problems with the green leaf on wall textures.
Its really hard to see whats going on with textures using the mag scans for reference as they are so blurry.
(I may attempt to correct some issues down the line with the textures in this level, but is it worth it?)

The camera's Field of view also makes my level look stretched out into the distance a bit more than the magazine screen,
however I'm not attempting to match that up exactly since block layout is basically the same and we will be using fisheye anyways.

An update on that leaf and wall texture and some others, looking better,,,, or ?
never spent so much time on making a simple pixel trash texture before.... I feel really exhausted and dead now.

ide say your 3 touch-ups away from having it it is worth it in the end because you have created something that was thought of as lost also the magazin scan is of poor quality i feel like if we could get an HD scan of it we could rip the texture that way

That magazine scan posted is a scaled down version of an HD scan i did myself as i own the magazine, ( i haven't seen a higher quality scan of this level floating around the net yet)
The Higher res you go the crapyer it becomes, as by than you can only see dots that make up the picture.

the texture is leaf on rock correct? the first edit you have the base down which is the hardest part so thats good in the second one you added more detail to the leafs which also looks better i think with a little detail pixel here pixel there and you will have recreated the texture exactly it looks good  cool

if you want post your progress on the texture and ill give a crack at it

also will more unseen levels be featured in the game such as:

I'm not sure but that stage may have been leaked in the def files.
cant remember,
also as for recreating the textures for this stage I'm finished, may tweak the lights though.
if you'd like to try your hand at redoing the leaf textures,
I'm ready to move onto the next stage asset set which is Galaxy fortress.

ide do some touch up work but i got my hands full with spriting at the moment tiara & now super sonic both are looking promising  cool

at some point i would like to chat with you about the story line of the game ive typed up some things

Speaking of spriting (sorry for going a bit off topic) when I be able to help out with that? Love that you're creating concepts that aren't in the dev files. I believe it's a part of Red Sands.
