Re: Discoveries of my own
Would anyone mind giving a RIP (not a conversion) of the Spinslash sprites? I mean without the alpha channel?

Would anyone mind giving a RIP (not a conversion) of the Spinslash sprites? I mean without the alpha channel?
I posted this over on another thread.....
There was never a rip, read ahead.
You can find the spinslash Sprites from the leaked v037 build named : V037 Engine release 3
Here: http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php? … 8&st=0
They weren't really ripped, they were laying around on a CD in a directory that came with some point of view studios development hardware.
Beware that the Spinslash sprites size along with the other sprites in that directory had been rescaled by someone back in the day.
To find them, work your way threw the folders: \Original Unmodified Level Files\Z17\sonic\sprites
than scroll down to the bottom where you will see files with the names SPSL in them.
we could restore their size. (i could attempt doubling the pixel size and cleaning em up
Yeah, I know, and I got them. I know there was no "Rip", per say, but by "rip" I mean without alpha channel.
Sorry guys, everythin' planned goin' on hold for GameMaker/Blender classes.
Attempting to fix the Spinslash sprites into at least pallete fixed format for 037. I'm gonna go my own pace for the classes, but they're going to be for most of the day.
I got the spinslash sprite ripped.
Please, don't bother me about it. I used GIMP to get the sprite to Jpeg, and then paint.net to edit out the Alpha Channel.
image link broke
You lose quality with JPEG.
I know, it was the only way I could. It was in paint.net and the quality was fine, maybe it was the bitmap.
But still
did i get the fruit back

Huh. I remember a tutorial for it, but I can't remember where.
It was on the General Discussion forums.

Nice game, Sega.
Thanks Andrew! I'm actually making a project to create custom levels and put them in 037 (The non-editor).
After that, I'll probably port 042 (New worlds) to 040 via DEF.
Keep up the good work ! you may beat jollyroger haha, hes not had any time to do anything with updating the Saturn build to run the 037 and 042. but he still plans to do something when he gets some kind of vacation.
Ok I might, also sent an email via forums related to the whole code thingie.
The normal SoncBoom editor. Something's unusual...
A closer look. Still don't see it?
jolly pls
I'm gonna make group for anything Sonic X-treme. I'll name it "Steam X-treme - the Official-But-Not-Really-Because-I-Need-Confirmation Sonic X-treme group".
This will NOT replace anything for the board, and anything posted on Steam for recent discoveries will be posted here!

Might help jollyroger or Andrew for X-treme builds. I found this in "PCFILES"

Noticed there was 1 DEF file in PackageX modified in...2006?
Weird, considering Senn stated himself that he had no prototypes.
