Topic: The lost textures Def files V40 -V53 And the Levels that use them!

Its not perfect but here is DE_2.def ported to Unreal 4.
I've been sitting on many level models for sooo many years and was unable to texture them because I had no clue what the textures looked like till now.
So yeah guys ! This level has never been seen with its original textures before, ( Enjoy !)

(Note that there are platforms that move up and down that can crush sonic, And near the start of the level there are 3 rotating platforms that sonic must cross before they knock him off to his death. They rotate around kind of like a wheat harvester turbine cutter thingy blade thing.
The level seems very unfinished. There is only one real texture used in the level which is a air vent, the rest are all auto generated in engine.)
(Also note, that this is raw right now, so no special lighting or anything applied to help break up the level visuals)

No no, Its new lol but yeah Sentient had screens of the same level sometimes with incorrect textures, and another level with some of the textures seen here did release as part of the HXC leak some years back.

Status update...

Level geometry for all the levels intended to be ported to AXSX are 100% in engine now.
85% textured , should be 100% in the coming days.
Well wait lets roll back that 100% for the main level Geo, because I discovered that some blocks which should be stand alone and movable are attached to the main level geo and they need to be separated , mainly for the Death egg levels.

Man I'm really going to have to remix these stages and update the texture layouts for many of these unfinished levels aside from having them as unlockable in the Classic X-treme game mode ( "The as is found and ported game mode")

Finally done assigning textures to all of the Death Egg levels in accordance to the original leaked level data., Sorry lighting is not set up yet, And Real actors that face the camera are not in the level and look a little wonky like the rings and spike ball.
You see, As part of the level layout workflow they are actually placeholders in this screen which act as a sort of template guide where the real actors will be placed over. The actors themselves always face the camera and wont have that paper thin look to them where they bend with fisheye into the distance.

DE_14F is the most complete Death egg Level when it came to texture layouts, but it seems the ceiling was never assigned a real texture by the Chris Senn, as its still the Solid blue placeholder color seen in most of the other Death Egg levels.

I think the solid blue color is because that's what it's supposed to be--a solid color. Senn said he intended them to be that color.

I already had done the texture work though, sorta the same thing you got. I also searched for other files and restored them.

It was on Senntient. I think it was another layout though.

I think it still applys tho. Ask him since I ask him about stuff and he never responds...

Ok another Level, UV rotations for texturemaps are incorrect here, will be fixed on my correction pass.
This level is interesting as when Sonic steps on a special block (The one with the purplish rock texture to the far right floor near the ramp, It will propel Sonic up the half circle ramp, shooting him up and over the top area of the level where if you don't press any directions, he'll land on the floating block on the Far left which will than shoot sonic around in a looping spiral towards the screen about 6 or so times. The level also incudes Blocks that move up and fall down which will crush sonic if he so happens to wander mindlessly under one, making him spew a fountain of rings while bouncing around like a Jello filled  accordion !
